The Wife of the President, Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has called on the Health ministry and other stakeholders to make ending tuberculosis (TB) in the country a top agenda. She made the call during the gala night for TB champions and survivors organised by Stop TB Partnership in Abuja. She also called on the ministry to give her and states’ first ladies a specific schedule in tackling the disease, saying that in addition with the support of the private sector, TB will end in Nigeria. The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu has charged traditional title holders under the Emirate to refocus attention on ensuring peace and security in their domains. The Emir gave the charge today when he received families of Late Alhaji Garba Aminu Magajin Garin Bauchi who paid him a thank you visit for honouring Alhaji Nasiru Garba Aminu as the Magayakin Bauchi. Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu who said the call became necessary considering the importance of peace to societal development, described mutual understanding among the people as key to peace. The Emir challenged the new Magayakin Bauchi to emulate his father late Alhaji Garba Aminu especially by supporting the emirate and members of his domain.
